VIKING LIFE-SAVING POLAR CODE RATED IMMERSION SUIT

£525.00

If a rescue swimmer cannot get into a thermally safe suit at high speed, it may take too long to enter the water to save a helpless overboard person's life.

We stock and supply the VIKING YOUSAFE®️GALE Polar Code rated 6hr immersion suit for assisted recovery of the helpless person. This is the ultimate fast-to-donn protective suit, offering superior thermal safety, even in Arctic waters. With an upright in-built buoyancy pack at the back of the suit, it does not require a lifejacket to be worn so there is not the frontal impediment of an inflated lifejacket to hinder a fast-working rescue swimmer. Double quilted within a PU coated outer, it has solid boot foot soles: ideal if a person decides to enter into the sea to assist a casualty and then climb back aboard, up the sharp ladder bars commonly welded onto ladder channels built into vessel sides.

In our opinion, this immersion suit provides all the confidence needed to commit to in-water activity: assistance of a helpless overboard person. If you carry only one of these onboard your vessel, as a dedicated rescue swimmer suit, your preparedness for recovering a helpless overboard person will be improved.

The image below shows that, this suit, with vertical buoyancy pack, enables the wearer to rest chest high in the water.
In our opinion, this is a little realised but priceless life-saving advantage when carrying out an assisted recovery.
