Welcome to QUIKSLING LIMITED. This is our webshop.
We manufacture our patented tension-activated man overboard recovery device known as the QUIKSLING.
From our manufacturing base at Peterhead in Scotland (U.K). we ship internationally for new-build vessels. We also supply for retro-fitting. Only small bracket works are required to install the cabinet.
Here is one of two units on new build Lunar Bow PD 165, as fitted by Karstensen's Shipyard in Denmark.
If you own a high sided vessel, this is a good first option for rapid recovery: it is a very hard decision to launch a FRC with your men into steep, heavy waves.
A crew member in the sea may only have minutes to live. At such a time, the QUIKSLING can save a life.
A proven lifesaver, built to secure a person in rough seas, it is fully certified by Lloyd's for recovery up to 30m height. This certification proves it is a suitable means of recovery for all ocean traffic. It is ideal for deployment from big vessels and offshore structures.
The question of unconscious recovery often arises when seeing the kit for the first time, without a full understanding of its true purpose and effectiveness.
Overboard persons mostly fall unconscious after a time unsecured in cold water. The purpose of this equipment is to rapidly secure an immersed person for hoisting aboard from a remote distance, before the onset of unconsciousness due to exposure time.
We have proved that fast remote capture, out on the open sea can avoid unconsciousness and save life.
.
QUIKSLING is accepted by the MCA, DMA, NMA & FMA for carriage - as extra life-saving equipment.
It is approved for SOLAS with its LR certification.
We are always proud to see it alongside a lifebuoy: to take over for recovery - or to use from the outset.
QUIKSLING provides a simple, comfortable recovery.
It is treasured by all crew members who are at risk.
